A few days ago we were very proud to introduce what we believe to be the most feature rich What’s New Web Part on the market. Take a look around and you will find that no other product even comes close, from the Internet freebies to other commercial products that are similar in scope, only at premium enterprise prices. Much easier to use the the Content Query Web Part (CQWP) included with MOSS 2007. CQWP is simply not a utilitarian web part for the average user. And if you have decided to deploy Windows SharePoint Services without MOSS 2007 then you are simply out of luck. Our What’s New Web Part is just plain easy to use and can be configured by your average SharePoint user with just a few clicks of their mouse without the assistance of IT or the Help Desk.

SharePoint Site Collections often grow rapidly, and the content that changes in the Sites within the collection is seldom from a single List, but rather many Lists. Presenting a consolidated view of these List item changes for your users can be a challenge, unless of course our What’s New Web Part is in your web part gallery. Imagine a single view that displays all new documents from within the current Site, regardless of which Document library the documents are located. Or a single view of all Announcements across an entire Site Collection that contains dozens of Sites. And if screen real-estate is scarce, why not combine all of the new Documents and new Announcements in the same view? Try that with an out-of-the-box web part. Our web part will let your users configure any combination of Content Types across multiple Sites for a single consolidated view. Pick Announcements, Events, and Documents then group the view by Content Type and users have an organized view of new or changed List items by List Type. Users also have the option to select Column choices that also include hyperlinks back to the originating content which means they are a single click away from that content.

So what makes ours the best? Simple, ours has more real features than anything else, is economical to own, comes with real support, is very easy to use, and has a customer inspired roadmap of new features. Why waste time trying to update some incomplete BETA quality source code you found on the Internet…when our product costs less to own then the time you will spend adding a single feature to that so called “free” product.
