How do I find my Farm ID?

Our web parts will display the current Farm ID of the application and site in which the web part is currently running. SharePoint displays web parts in preview mode from the Site Collection Web Part Gallery. To access a Site Collection Web Part Gallery a user must have the necessary security rights to access the Site Settings administration page, view the Web Parts link under the Site Settings category Galleries and preview one of our web parts in preview mode while in the Web Part Gallery.
 
Steps to display a web part in preview mode.
  1. Click the Site Actions menu of a page from a Site Collection web.
  2. From the dropdown menu click the menu option Site Settings.
  3. From the Site Settings administration page click the Web Parts link under the category Galleries.
  4. From the Web Part Gallery list view click on a web part preview link of a bWare Technologies web part to open that web part in preview mode.
  5. Note the Farm ID value at the bottom of the screen shot below.
