Our What's New Web Part for Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 or MOSS 2007 delivers your most recent new or changed List item content in a familiar SharePoint style view in both form and function. With more than 20 standard Content Type options, custom Content Type support, more than 40 Column display choices, GridView and Summary view layouts, and nearly 2 dozen additional configuration options our web part puts content control in the hands of your SharePoint users without the assistance of the help desk. All web part configuration options are available from the standard SharePoint ToolPart interface giving your users instant feedback as they configure the web part to display the content they need with the look and feel they want.

Need even greater content control? Connect our List Filter Provider Web Part for List specific search results. Pick and choose only those Lists you care about most from the entire Site Collection using the familiar SharePoint TreeView navigation control.

Product FAQ's

Does this web part support web part connections?
Yes. Our What's New Web Part implements the IWebPartTable interface and can be connected to 1 other web part on the same web part page. When connected to our List Filter Provider Web Part web part you may create an advanced List filter by choosing specific lists for display in the What's New Web Part. However, any connected provider can be used as long as it supplies at least the following 4 column definitions.

Column Definitions:

Scope (String): Recognized values...Current, Recursive, SiteCollection
Name (String): The name of the Content Type
ListId (String): Any valid List Guid converted to a String
ContentType (String): Recognized SPListTemplateTypes (Content Types)...100, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 115, 119, 120, 150, 201, 202, 201, 207, 211, 301, 302, 303 and 1100. Beginning with version 2009.3.01, custom or non-standard Content Types are supported. Please see the Windows SharePoint Server 3.0 SDK documentation for more information.

Are the results displayed security trimmed?
Yes. The results from the defined search scope will only display items for which the currently logged in user has at least the view right on the List and on the specific Item.
Do DEMO product downloads expire?
No. Our download packages contain an expired license key that allows for full use of the product while running in demonstration mode with license expiration warning messages. If you plan to evaluate the product in a production environment, you may request a 10-day message free no hassle TRIAL license that can be used on any number of Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 or Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 Farm installations for evaluation purposes. How is the What's New Web Part licensed?
Our What's New Web Part is licensed by a single Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 or Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 Farm installation. License a Farm and run the web part on any number of SharePoint extended Web applications or Site Collections in the Farm.
What types of licenses are available?
10-day message free TRIAL and Permanent licenses are available for this product. Product downloads include an expired TRIAL license that will allow the web part to run in demonstration mode. The web part is fully functional in demonstration mode but renders demo messages on the web part page. You may also request a message free 10-day TRIAL license from our License Key Requests page. Permanent licenses are issued within 2 business days of receipt of the Farm ID's you wish to license. Permanent licenses never expire and are good for the life of the product.
Can I bank licenses that I am not ready to use?
Yes. You may purchase Farm licenses in quantity to reduce costs, then request license keys as required. Your banked licenses will never expire.

Documentation is NOT included in product downloads, and is provided as a separate download so that you may select the best format for your needs.

The web part downloads on this page automatically run in a DEMONSTRATION MODE.
